I’m a  graduate of the University of Arizona’s School of Journalism who recently moved from Tucson, Ariz. to Chapel Hill, N.C.

Although I grew up in the Southwest, where I lived for nearly 20 years, I was born in South. Actually, in Durham – only about 10 minutes away from where I’m living now.

I’m trying to understand the vast differences between Southwestern and Southern cultures -  colloquialisms, food, architecture, fashion, leisure, etc. So, I’m documenting the “return to my roots” (as my mom put it) and sharing it with you.
